A Fashionista's Lazy Guide for Fall

Updated: Nov 19, 2017

No matter where you are in life, fall is always a hectic, extremely caffeinated, trying-to-do-everything month. All the while you only have a short time to enjoy all your favorite fall activities and get into the holiday spirit. So the last thing you feel like you have time for is picking out cute outfit after cute outfit. I mean, a girl only has so much closet space right?! But never fear, kcstyle.queen is here and I have your cheat-sheet to being a trendy fall fashionista and feeling like you can take on the rest of the season.

A Versatile Trench Coat

The one thing about fall in the Midwest, the weather never knows what it wants to do. This makes a light coat perfect because it will keep you comfortable (and fashionable) on those cloudy chilly days while not being too warm as a winter coat. I found my coat at H&M and it was a bit of an investment. However, I wear this coat almost every.single.day.It is the perfect style addition for your work wardrobe to happy hour with your besties. Plus, this coat has deep pockets. Always go for a coat with pockets.

A Solid-Textured Sweater

Sweater-weather beetches! It is my favorite part of the fall and coziness is just as important as cuteness. Go for colors that just radiate fall like red, an emerald green, mustard yellow, or royal purple to name a few. And if you find a sweater with some texture? That is even better! A solid color sweater will go with black slacks, jeans, or even a denim skirt. You can dress it up with a statement necklace or keep it casual. The possibilities are endless!

Versatile-Edgy Shoes

These shoes are the best leap-of-faith investment of my entire closet. They are comfortable, stylish, and work perfectly with almost any outfit! While usually I am a big heel/booties fan, these "humble heels" have stolen my heart and are a must-have for the fall. And the best part?! You can find these cuties at Coco Brookside and support a local KC boutique! The only thing better than finding an awesome heel is knowing you are supporting you local community.
